4/2/2024 0 Comments Civ5 unit auto warPlacing a unit in "alert" mode doesn't always seem to wake up in the presence of an enemy unit so you have to physically scan the board every time to make sure you haven't missed a barbarian or whatnot. There are no more city production queues. Automatic moves are of questionable use (as above). In fact, this whole edition of Civ seems determined to make you micromanage the hell out of everything. I just give him a path 1 space farther than he can go in a turn so when it does the automoves, he'll wake and say "I'm done." Then I can go move some of the units I skipped before, but I have to remember each and every one of them or some units won't get moved that turn. ![]() ![]() Sure I could go around to all of the units with automoves in place and look at the path they're currently on but that sort of negates the whole benefit of setting up an automatic move, doesn't it? Sometimes I use a unit like a 1-move builder I've kept in case of repairs as my "turn forcer". I just wish there was a keystroke to force-move all the units with automatic moves in the works before I make my manual moves so I know I'm not going to totally wreck a planned move by inadvertently parking a unit in one of their paths.
